Does anyone have an extra Peachtree number? As mentioned in another posting on the board, we lost a number, which was going to an amazing AmeriCorps member who tutors behaviorally-challenged kids. She got intensely excited about participating in this year's Peachtree, and we're hoping to come up with another number for her.

Much appreciated...

Caroline

Yeah, I saw the folks scalping numbers for $50 above the original cost. The Peachtree is sort of one of the most beautiful things Atlanta does, and I would prefer not to deal with people who applied for numbers only to milk it for personal gain.

I might be overly optimistic, but it's worth monitoring Craigslist OFTEN, and also putting up a "wanted" ad saying "face value only." I've managed to find concert tix for two sold-out shows at cost on Craigslist even when most were scalping for twice the ticket value... there's still honest souls out there. You just have to watch the boards so you can snag them quickly. Also, tell your story as it is a nice one, and might bump you up in someone's "line" even if you didn't respond to their ad first.

Scalping is illegal in ATL... if you want someone to help you in flagging let me know.

Big Peach Running Co has entries if you buy a pair of Reebox running shoes. See below. It is from their newsletter.

"And, if you suddenly realized you forgot to register for the 2010 AJC Peachtree Road Race, and desperately want to be part of the show, we still have free entries available. We’re down to the last few, but we do have some at each store, compliments of Reebok. A race entry is yours as a gift with purchase of any pair of Reebok running shoes. With 3 great models available, you're sure to find the right shoe for you: Premier Verona KFS for neutral runners, Premier Road Supreme for moderate overpronation, and SF Attack for mild to moderate overpronators looking for a lightweight performance trainer,"
